About the Speakers

Jonas Thulin

Jonas Thulin has almost 30 years of experience in the IT industry. He started programming in his teens in 1975, and he has been fulltime employed in the IT industry since 1983. Starting out as a software developer in the early eighties in Denmark, his career in IT has evolved from system designer through data communication specialist, product manager, project manager and solution designer to senior solution architect specializing in security, enterprise architecture and IT strategy providing architectural assistance and IT strategy consultancy to large enterprise clients. He currently works as a Business Development Manager for Fortinet, a leading security vendor. The last 20 years he has been living and working in Cape Town, South Africa.

Peter French is the Enterprise Sales Manager of ESET Southern Africa and is responsible for managing ESET’s key corporate accounts.  Prior to his appointment as Enterprise Sales Manager of ESET Southern Africa in August 2011, Peter held various key positions within the organisation since September 2007.  Passionate about information and globalisation, Peter has a technologically comprehensive background in ICT Security.
Specialties: Antivirus and malware, networking, security, desktop and server hardware, firewalling, virtualisation, client services, technical consulting and support, project management, solution consulting and architecture, sales, negotiation, mobile software, the internet and its MANY applications and possibilities.

Nicolas Blank

Nicolas is an Architect, author, and speaker focused on all things Exchange and Cloud at NBConsult. With over 16 years of experience on Exchange, Nicolas consults to customers globally on cloud based and on-premises Exchange as well as ISVs building Exchange focused products. Nicolas has extensive experience using Azure to create public and private Azure based offerings leveraging cloud based principles and common sense. Nicolas currently holds status of MCM Exchange 2010, Office 365 (Microsoft Certified Master), MCSM Exchange 2013, and has been awarded Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) for Microsoft Exchange since March 2007. Nicolas has co-authored "Microsoft Exchange Server 2013: Design, Deploy and Deliver an Enterprise Messaging Solution," published by Sybex.
