Tech Ed 2010
A MESSAGE FROM MICROSOFT SOUTH AFRICA MANAGING DIRECTOR: MTETO NYATI
DEAR IT PROFESSIONALS AND DEVELOPERS,
It’s hard to believe that Tech·Ed is almost upon us again, and as always, we’re looking to deliver an absolute blockbuster of an event this year.
Our key focus at Tech·Ed this year is going to be on the absolute wave of technology that’s driving our industry forward at scary speeds at the moment – cloud computing, virtualization, business intelligence, and mobile.
Cloud computing is going to be huge – and at Microsoft, we’re all in. Nearly every one of our products has, or is developing, features and/or services that support the cloud. Also, the cloud informs our investments across the company, from data centres to platform technologies to development tools and applications.
On the product side, we’ve seen massive innovation coming out of Microsoft over the past few months (SharePoint 2010®, Exchange 2010, SOL Server® 2008 R2, Office 2010) and there’s more on the way (OCS 2010, Windows® Phone 7, Expression® 4.0). We’ll be unpacking a lot of those technologies and giving you a roadmap for how they’re going to fit into enterprise computing moving forward.
SO WHY ATTEND TECH·ED 2010?
- We’ve organised a raft of sponsorships this year that will add huge value to the event and are busy finalising a contingent of top-level international speakers, with some awesome content on tap
- You’ll return to the office with cutting-edge insights and expertise that will make life easier for you (and everyone else)
at work - You’ll get to immerse yourself in hundreds of IT learning opportunities and get your questions answered by renowned technology experts
- Even more importantly, you’ll be able to engage and collaborate with Microsoft innovators, third party leaders and 2 000
of your IT peers, building connections that will last beyond your four days at Tech·Ed – and you’ll have a blast doing it!
I look forward to seeing you there!
Yours sincerely
Mteto
